Private Finance
Our mortgage advisers provide advice and support which focuses on achieving your life goals.
With face-to-face meetings, our advisers will get to know you very well. They will maintain an open two-way dialogue and make sure that you understand, in clear and simple terms, the best mortgage product for you.
We have access to a huge range of lenders and in-depth knowledge of their products. Having built up a great number of relationships over many years in the industry, we have an innate knowledge of the many intricacies of various mortgage products and providers.
Most importantly, we do not charge adviser fees for normal residential mortgage advice. So, it makes sense to take advice from a qualified professional to ensure that the mortgage you select is the most suitable for both your immediate objectives and future plans.
Over the years we’ve worked with thousands of clients. As a result, we’ve developed a specialist understanding of the borrowing needs of the following types of people.
First-time buyers
Purchasing your home is probably the largest financial commitment you will ever make.
Finding the right mortgage to meet your immediate and long-term needs can be a daunting prospect. Most mortgage lenders now have their own individual eligibility criteria and as a consequence, choosing the right mortgage is becoming more complex, and time-consuming.

Movers
Has the time come for you to move to a bigger home?
Perhaps your family has grown or you simply want more space for your hobbies or entertaining. Either way, moving to a bigger property, usually means that you will need to borrow more money. But how can you make sure your mortgage will meet your needs?
Remortgagers
Re-mortgaging can be an effective way of ensuring that your mortgage arrangements continue to work for you.
Your fixed term mortgage may be coming to an end, or you may simply want to check that your mortgage is the best for your circumstances. If so, we offer a free mortgage review service so you can make sure that your mortgage is still competitive.
Buy to Let landlords
Investment property purchases represent a significant proportion of the property market.
Many investors are using property as a useful source of additional future pension income or as an asset class in addition to other investments.
Mortgage lenders have had to change their criteria quite considerably over recent years. As a consequence, lending criteria and eligibility have tightened.
Self-builders
Many people dream of building their own home. Lenders are now open to financing self- builds with or without the land.
Lenders have their own individual criteria which means that most self-build mortgages are bespoke.
Developers
Property developers have their own unique borrowing requirements depending on what and where they are building.
Their needs also vary depending on their exit plan, be it selling the property or keeping it to rent out.
Ex-pats
Ex-pats have not been very well catered for in the past. However, this is changing, and more lenders are able to lend to ex-pats who have well-paid jobs abroad.
If you work for a with recognised company and earn a stable income in the most popular and stable of currencies, it is possible for you to have a mortgage from the UK.
Foreign citizens
It is possible for foreign citizens living in the UK to borrow money to buy a UK property.
However, they will normally require a current visa with no work restrictions in order to have a mortgage application considered. Lenders that will consider this scenario usually require a minimum 20% deposit and will want to know the applicants position as to their intentions to stay within the UK.
Retired borrowers
If you are aged 55 or over, you may be considering releasing equity in your home.
Some of our clients borrow in retirement so that they can continue to enjoy their chosen lifestyle. For others, borrowing can be a viable option if you are looking to adapt your home to make it more suitable for later life.
Mortgage Prisoners
'Mortgage prisoners’ are borrowers who are unable to switch their mortgage to a more competitive interest rate.
For some, this will be due to changes in their personal circumstances. But for many others, it’s because they’re tied into a mortgage with an inactive or unregulated lender, who cannot offer them any alternative to their standard variable interest rate.
